This regulation establishes a temporary tolerance of 0.170 part per million (ppm) for residues of aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) in or on the stone fruit crop group when applied/used as a plant regulator. Valent BioSciences Corporation submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 requesting the temporary tolerance. The temporary tolerance will expire on December 21, 2003.
