## Abstract

This regulation establishes tolerances for residues of the ovicide/miticide hexythiazox (trans-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-N-cyclohexyl-4- methyl-2-oxothiazolidine-3-carboxamide) and its metabolites containing the (4-chlorophenyl)-4-methyl-2-oxo-3-thiazolidine moiety (expressed as parent) in or on tree nuts (nutmeat), plums, fresh prunes, dried prunes, pistachios, peppermint (tops), spearmint (tops), and caneberries. Gowan Company and the Interregional Research Project No. 4 (IR-4) requested this tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) of 1996.
