## Abstract

EPA is taking direct final action to approve a revision to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP). This revision concerns emissions of nitrogen oxides (NO<INF>X</INF>) and carbon monoxide (CO) from electric power generating steam boilers. We are proposing action on a local rule that regulates these emission sources under the Clean Air Act as amended in 1990 (CAA or the Act).
