## Abstract

EPA finds that the state implementation plan (SIP) for the Metropolitan Phoenix (Maricopa County), Arizona PM-10 nonattainment area is substantially inadequate to attain the 24-hour particulate (PM- 10) air quality standard at the Salt River monitoring site, a small subarea of the nonattainment area. As required by the Clean Air Act upon a finding of SIP inadequacy, EPA is requiring that the State of Arizona submit a SIP revision to correct the inadequacy.
