## Abstract

This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for combined residues of sulfentrazone, N-[2,4-dichloro-5-[4- (difluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1- yl]phenyl] methanesulfonamide, and its metabolites 3-hydroxymethyl sulfentrazone (HMS) and 3-desmethyl sulfentrazone (DMS) in or on flax, seed; potato; potato, wet peel; and potato, granules/flakes. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of the pesticide on flax and potatoes. This regulation establishes maximum permissible levels for residues of sulfentrazone in these food commodities. These tolerances will expire and are revoked on December 31, 2004.
