## Abstract

EPA is taking direct final action to approve a revision to the Kern County Air Pollution Control District (KCAPCD) portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP). This revision concerns the emission of nitrogen oxides (NO<INF>X</INF>) from internal combustion engines. We are approving a local rule that regulates this emission source under the Clean Air Act as amended in 1990 (CAA or the Act).
