## Abstract

EPA is finalizing a limited approval and limited disapproval of revisions to the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP). This action was proposed in the Federal Register on September 14, 1998 and concerns oxides of nitrogen (NO<INF>X</INF>) emissions from internal combustion engines; stationary gas turbines; and from boilers, steam generators, and process heaters. Under authority of the Clean Air Act as amended in 1990 (CAA or the Act), this action simultaneously approves local rules that regulate these emission sources and directs California to correct rule deficiencies.
