## Abstract

In today's final rule, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approves the ColitagTM method to support previously established requirements for National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) compliance monitoring for total coliforms and E. coli in finished drinking water. This method was proposed on March 7, 2002, and a Notice of Data Availability was published on December 2, 2002, which provided additional information on the ColitagTM method. This action provides water utilities and certified laboratories an additional analytical method option to test for total coliforms and E. coli.
