## Abstract

This regulation establishes a time-limited tolerance for residues of kasugamycin, 3-O-[2-amino-4-[(carboxyiminomethyl)amino]- 2,3,4,6-tetradeoxy-[alpha]-D-arabino-hexopyranosyl]-D-chiro-inositol in or on apples. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of the agricultural bactericide on apples. This regulation establishes a maximum permissible level for residues of kasugamycin in this food commodity. The time-limited tolerance expires and is revoked on December 31, 2012.
