## Abstract

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a petition from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) requesting that the Denver metropolitan area, an ozone nonattainment area classified as transitional, be exempted from the requirements regarding the control of oxides of nitrogen (NO<INF>X) imposed by the Federal conformity rules. The initial petition for exemption was submitted by DRCOG on May 25, 1994. Supporting documentation for the initial petition was submitted August 1, 1994.
