## Abstract

This rule establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the plant pesticide active ingredient Bacillus thuringiensis CryIA(b) delta-endotoxin and the genetic material necessary for its production (plasmid vector pCIB4431) in corn. A request for an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance was submitted by Ciba-Geigy Corp. (Ciba Seeds). This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of this plant pesticide in the raw agricultural commodities of field corn, sweet corn, and popcorn.
