## Abstract

This rule establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the plant pesticide active ingredient Bacillus thuringiensis CryIA(c) delta-endotoxin and the genetic material necessary for its production in cotton. The Monsanto Co. requested the exemption from the requirement of a tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The rule eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of this plant pesticide in cotton.
