## Abstract

EPA today modifies the designation of an Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS) and dedesignates another ODMDS in the Atlantic Ocean offshore Charleston, South Carolina. The modifications are to extend the period of use and to provide for improved management of the Charleston Harbor Deepening Project ODMDS. The dedesignation is for the smaller Charleston ODMDS. These actions are necessary to provide an environmentally acceptable ocean disposal site for projects in the Charleston area.
