## Abstract

The EPA is announcing its determination that the Puget Sound (parts of King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties) Ozone Nonattainment area has attained the public health-based National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for ozone (O<INF>3). This determination is based upon three years of complete, quality-assured, ambient air monitoring data for the 1991 to 1993 ozone seasons that demonstrate that the ozone NAAQS has been attained. The EPA is also approving the redesignation to attainment of the Puget Sound Area and the associated maintenance plan.
