## Abstract

This regulation establishes tolerances for residues of benoxacor (4-(dichloroacetyl)-3,4-dihydro-3-methyl-2H-1,4-benzoxazine at 0.01 part per million (ppm) when used as an inert ingredient (safener) in pesticide formulations containing metolachlor in or on raw agricultural commodities for which tolerances have been established for metolachlor. It also removes time limitations for residues of benoxacor on the same commodities that expire on February 14, 1998. Novartis Crop Protection, Incorporated requested this tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (Pub. L. 104-170).
