## Abstract

In 1992, EPA promulgated federal regulations establishing water quality criteria for toxic pollutants for several states, including Alaska (40 CFR 131.36). One of the toxic pollutants included in that rule was arsenic. In this final rule, EPA withdraws the applicability to Alaska's waters of the federal human health criteria for arsenic.
