## Abstract

This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the biochemical hydrogen peroxide on all food commodities when applied/used as an algaecide, fungicide, and bactericide at the rate of <ls-thn-eq> 1% hydrogen peroxide per application on growing crops (all food commodities) and postharvest potatoes. Biosafe Systems submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of hydrogen peroxide.
