## Abstract

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving the State of Michigan's request to redesignate the Detroit area, which includes portions of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, to attainment for carbon monoxide (CO). The EPA is also approving the corresponding 175A maintenance plan associated with the redesignation request as a revision to the Michigan State Implementation Plan (SIP) for attaining and maintaining the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for CO.
