## Abstract

We are approving Illinois' State Plan for Hospital/Medical/ Infectious Waste Incinerators (HMIWI), submitted on May 28, 1999. The State Plan adopts and implements our Emissions Guidelines (EG) applicable to existing HMIWIs. Our approval means that we find the State Plan meets Clean Air Act (Act) requirements. Once effective, our approval makes the State Plan federally enforceable.
