## Abstract

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving the State of Minnesota's request to redesignate the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, which includes Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington, and Wright Counties to attainment for carbon monoxide (CO). The EPA is also approving the corresponding 175A maintenance plan associated with the redesignation request as a revision to the Minnesota State Implementation Plan (SIP) for attaining and maintaining the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for CO. The EPA proposed to approve this plan on May 13, 1999 (64 FR 25855).
