## Abstract

This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for the combined residues of metsulfuron methyl and its 4-hydroxy metabolite (methyl 2-[[[[(4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2- yl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]-4-hydroxybenzoate) in or on sorghum grain, sorghum forage, and sorghum fodder. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act authorizing the use of the pesticide on sorghum. This regulation establishes maximum permissible levels for residues of metsulfuron-methyl on these food commodities. The tolerances will expire and be revoked on December 31, 2001.
