Abstract
The Commission published a document in the Federal Register of January 23, 2001, which implements certain aspects of the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act of 1999. Specifically, the document implements regulations regarding the carriage of local television stations in markets where satellite carriers offer local television service to their subscribers. The document should have stated that certain provisions of the rule contained information collection requirements that require approval by the Office of Management and Budget ("OMB") and that these provisions were not immediately effective. This document corrects the effective date of the January 23, 2001 final rule.
