Abstract
On December 3, 1997, the Network Services Division of the Commission's Common Carrier Bureau, released an Order granting extensions to certain local exchange carriers (LECs) of the January 1, 1998 deadline for implementing four-digit carrier code identification codes (CIC). The Order is intended to respond to waiver requests received from certain LECs.
