## Abstract

NMFS is rescinding a previous action that reallocated Pacific cod among gear types and is reallocating the currently projected unused amount of Pacific cod from vessels using trawl and jig gear to catcher/ processor vessels using hook-and-line gear and vessels using pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area ( BSAI). These actions are necessary to allow the 2003 total allowable catch (TAC) of Pacific cod to be harvested in accordance with regulations at 50 CFR part 679.
