Abstract
NMFS is prohibiting directed fishing for Alaska plaice in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to prevent exceeding the 2017 Alaska plaice total allowable catch (TAC) specified for the BSAI.
