Abstract

In accordance with the framework procedure for adjusting management measures of the Fishery Management Plan for the Snapper- Grouper Fishery of the South Atlantic Region (FMP), NMFS establishes a daily recreational bag limit of five hogfish per person; limits the harvest and possession of cubera snapper measuring 30 inches (76.2 cm) in total length, or larger, to 2 per day; and establishes a minimum size limit for gray triggerfish of 12 inches (30.5 cm), total length. These measures apply only in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) off the Atlantic coast of Florida. The intended effects of this rule are to rebuild the snapper-grouper resources and enhance enforcement.
