Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska; Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area; Consolidation of Regulations Including Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements

NMFS is consolidating and revising several sections of regulations, including the recordkeeping and reporting requirements, for use in the groundfish fisheries of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) and the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). The changes made by this rule are expected to facilitate management of the groundfish fisheries, promote compliance with groundfish regulations, and facilitate enforcement efforts. This action is intended to further the goals and objectives of the fishery management plans (FMPs) for the groundfish fisheries off Alaska.
