## Abstract

NMFS issues interim 1999 total allowable catch (TAC) amounts for each category of groundfish and specifications for prohibited species bycatch allowances for the groundfish fishery of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA). This action is necessary to conserve and manage the groundfish resources in the GOA and is intended to implement the goals and objectives of the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska (FMP).
