## Abstract

NMFS corrects and updates regulations pertaining to general provisions of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act). This rule corrects references to the Magnuson-Stevens Act, which was amended by the Sustainable Fisheries Act (SFA) in 1996; revises a definition to bring it into conformance with the Magnuson-Stevens Act; and revises terminology to be consistent with the Magnuson-Stevens Act and to reflect a reorganization of NMFS.
