Abstract
NMFS announces specifications to set the 1999 Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) fishing category quotas and General category effort controls. These specifications are necessary to implement the 1998 recommendation of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) required by the Atlantic Tunas Convention Act (ATCA) and to achieve domestic management objectives.
