NMFS issues a final rule to revise permitting, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements for fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) off Alaska. These revisions are necessary to clarify and simplify existing text, facilitate management of the fisheries, promote compliance with the regulations, and facilitate enforcement efforts. This action is intended to further the goals and objectives of the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska and of the Fishery Management Plan for the Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area (FMPs).
