Abstract

To develop cutting-edge research that helps improve the ability of medical institutions, public health agencies and government institutions to plan and respond to pandemics. The center will focus on broad influenza surveillance and characterization of virus strains and development of pathways and approaches to rapidly link basic research findings with clinical and public health practices to better prepare for seasonal and pandemic influenza outbreaks.
