Abstract

The University of Michigan, the University of Toronto and the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, Americas Chapter (TERMIS-AM) will be hosting and organizing the upcoming 2020 meeting of the TERMIS, Americas Chapter (TERMIS-AM) Conference and Exposition. Michigan is requesting support for travel awards for the Student and Young Investigator Section (SYIS) as well as women researchers and trainees to attend the full conference. The conference will be rigorously publicized to attract women and underrepresented minorities, with particular focus on historically black universities and medical schools, as well as individuals with disabilities. Additionally, each scientific session to be presented at the conference was asked to include a statement on how diversity, equity and inclusion will be considered when selecting speakers and student engagement. The theme of the conference and the highlight of the meeting is “Synergizing to New Heights in Health.”
