Abstract

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services State Public Health Laboratory Project Abstract for FOA PAR-20-105 Laboratory Flexible Funding Model Discipline A (Microbiology): Track 2 Human Food Purpose: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) State Public Health Laboratory (MSPHL) seeks FDA cooperative agreement funding opportunity to improve food testing surveillance programs through the microbiological analysis of food products and environmental samples. The goals and outcomes of this cooperative agreement include the following: 1. The MSPHL, in support of Missouri’s manufactured food regulatory programs (MFRPS), will conduct testing of targeted food samples using validated test methods under its ISO 17025 scope of accreditation. 2. The test results generated by the MSPHL will be used to remove adulterated food from commerce and aid regulatory inspections programs in conducting investigations. Page 1 of 1
