Abstract

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services State Public Health Laboratory Abstract for FOA PAR-20-105 Laboratory Flexible Funding Model Discipline C (Radiochemistry): Track 2 Capacity/Capability Development Specific Aims The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) State Public Health Laboratory (MSPHL) seeks FDA cooperative agreement funding opportunity build additional capability and expand the national capacity in radiochemical areas of emerging technology and/or where FDA has identified a specific need. The Missouri State Public Health Laboratory (MSPHL) plans to expand our radionuclide testing capability to include alpha emitters. The goals and outcomes of this project include the following: 1. Upgrade equipment to analyze for alpha emitters. 2. Train staff in the analysis of foods for alpha emitters. 3. Demonstrate competency through a proficiency test offered by a suitable proficiency testing program, or if unavailable, a laboratory developed competency exercise. 4. Attend the annual LFFM Face-to-Face Meeting. Page 1 of 1
