Project Summary
The Ohio Department of Agriculture
Division of Food Safety
The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) will create a Preventive Controls Program and it will be
incorporated into the Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards. This will entail the following:
 • Establishing a Preventive Controls training and monitoring program for specialists
 • Developing an inspection and compliance program to conduct full scope Preventive Controls
inspections
 • Establishing data information sharing capabilities with the FDA along with work planning with
 the FDA
 • Enhancing and expanding Ohio’s regulatory foundations
 • Building capacity to support a Preventive Controls program
A three year plan has been developed in our Aims document which as been attached in our application.
