Abstract

PAR-20-105 Laboratory Flexible Funding Model (LFFM) (U19) Special Project Discipline Analytical Track 3: Method Development and Validation Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services Principal Investigator: Christopher Waggener, Ph.D. Project Director: Chemistry: Shane Wyatt SF424: Other Project Information Project Summary: The Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS) is the public health laboratory for the Commonwealth of Virginia and offers a wide variety of laboratory testing services for state and federal agencies, local governments and other states in support of public health, environmental protection and emergency response. The Virginia Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS) is applying for the FDA LFFM Method Development and Validation Analytical track. DCLS will use these funds to validate a method for the molecular detection of Salmonella DNA for screening of sample enrichments by qPCR. DCLS will also utilize these funds to implement an arsenic speciation method by LC-ICP-MS for the separation of inorganic and common organic forms of arsenic in sea foods.
