Abstract

LFFM Summary / Abstract - National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) Integration and ORA Partner Portal (ORAPP) Adoption The Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS) and Animal Feed Regulatory Program Standards (AFRPS) established a uniform foundation for management of state programs responsible for the regulation including laboratory analysis for chemical and microbiological contaminants. These programs facilitated the ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation of a number of different analytical methods within the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s laboratories with the overall goal of having the GDA laboratories equal to the Federal laboratories. As a further extension of this program there was the desire to share the data and results with our Federal partners to contribute to an integrated national food safety system. In order to achieve this grant funds are required for the seamless transference of data and results from the GDA Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to a Federal repository of results. The goal of this project is to ensure the efficient transfer of GDA data and results to a National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) Integration and ORA Partner Portal (ORAPP), or another federal repository as specified by the FDA. This will enable state partners to continue their responsibility for Global Food Safety initiatives and protect the public by aiding in an integrated national food safety system.
