## Abstract

Special Projects Track 3 Method Validation Project Summary
The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Microbiology Laboratory will work on
and complete a method development and validation project to increase outbreak testing
to include Clostridium perfringens and C. perfringens enterotoxin detection in a variety
of foods. The ISDH Food Chemistry Laboratory will work to extend the LC/MS/MS
method for pesticide to new matrices. Proposed matrices are fruit juices and various
unvalidated baby food fruits and vegetables. The method is the AOAC 2007.01
“Pesticide Residues in Foods by Acetonitrile Extraction and Partitioning with Magnesium
