## Abstract

Chemistry Tract 4 – Capability and Capacity Development 
Narrative 
The Arizona Department of Health Services Laboratory (ASPHL) Chemistry program seeks to 
engage in a capacity development project to bring online Allergen testing using the MagPix 
System with XPonent 4.2 software. These efforts will be in coordination with the FDA and the 
resulting analytical method will be used by Arizona for food safety testing under Tract 2 - Human 
Food Product Testing. ASPHL Chemistry has a long history as a FERN cCAP Laboratory and 
specializes in method development work utilizing new technology to identify poisons and toxins 
in the US food supply.
