Project Summary/Abstract This proposal requests funding for a Thermo Scientific Exploris 480 to support NIH Institutional Development Award (IDeA) centers in the state of Nevada and NIH R01 funded researchers. A significant portion of the instrument time would be to address the proteomic needs of three IDeA center grants, Nevada IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (NV-INBRE), Personalized Medicine Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) and the Mountain West Clinical Translational Medicine- Infrastructure Network (CTR-IN). The Exploris 480 will allow researchers to perform new types of proteomic studies including DIA protein quantitation for biomarker discovery and post-translational modification (PTM) site mapping for pathway signal analysis. The proposed Thermo Scientific Exploris 480 will be operated and maintained by the Nevada Proteomic Center.
