## Abstract

Hub Research Capacity goals are to provide UMCCTS resources that ensure diverse participant engagement
in CTR and that add value by facilitating the efficiency and quality of CTR throughout the research cycle, from
study planning through dissemination of results. The UMCCTS Science Participation Research Center
(SPRC) supports diversity in research recruitment and retention by partnering with CECC and our communities
to advance research literacy through community forums with dialogue and bi-directional learning, enabling
mastery of cultural competency skills through medical simulation training, and by providing a consult service
that helps investigators to improve engagement of diverse populations in research. Our new Translational Research Accelerator (TRAcs) provides a framework for integrated UMCCTS services. TRAcs incorporates
SPRC and CECC expertise into a newly-formed Protocol Review Committee and other processes focused on
timely, culturally-sensitive protocol development, participant recruitment, and dissemination of research results.
