## Abstract

Abstract
The Gastroparesis Clinical Research Consortium (GpCRC) focuses on the etiology, natural history,
therapy of gastroparesis. The goal is to perform clinical, epidemiological, and therapeutic research in
gastroparesis. Dr. Parkman is the principal investigator for the Temple site of the GpCRC with his NIH
U01 grant, titled Temple University Gastroparesis Clinical Center
This supplement will support the patient care costs related to these specific aims:
First, recruitment and retention into our Gastroparesis Registry 3 of patients with symptoms of gastroparesis.
Project Title: The NIDDK Gastroparesis Registry 3: Characterization and Clinical Course of Symptoms and
Gastric Emptying in Patients with Symptoms of Gastroparesis.
Second, recruitment and retention into our buspirone treatment study. Project Title: Buspirone for Early
Satiety and Symptoms of Gastroparesis: A Multicenter, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Double-Masked
Trial (BESST).
Third, recruitment and retention into our proposed EndoFlip study of the pylorus. Project
Title: Pyloric Sphincter Abnormalities in Patients with Gastroparesis Symptoms (PSAGS).
