# Spatial Genomics for in situ single cell expression analysis in the brain

> **NIH NIH R44** · SPATIAL GENOMICS, INC. · 2021 · $994,538

## Abstract

SUMMARY
Spatial Genomics, Inc. is commercializing seqFISH technology that can visualize thousands of
genes at the mRNA level in single cells with spatial information preserved. Recent advances now
make it possible to achieve 10,000 gene multiplexing in single cells directly in tissues (Eng et al.,
Nature 2019). With this technology, novel cell types can be discovered in situ and spatial
organizations can be directly identified and visualized in brain tissue sections.
