## Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT- DATA MANAGEMENT AND STATISTICS CORE (DMSC)
The Data Management and Statistics Core (DMSC) will provide comprehensive, integrated, and continually
updated data management for the acquisition, organization, use, and sharing of data from research participants
in the Arizona ADRC, timely and fully compliant transmission of ADRC, affiliated APOE, Brain and Body Donation
Programs (BBDP) and pending NIA supported APOE4/APOE2 Allelic Dose Cohort Study UDS data, brain
images and other data to NACC, work with NCRAD to provide coordinated blood sample and DNA sample
sharing reports, and provide monthly and as-needed metrics reports to our ADRC Cores and REC to help monitor
and optimize their performance. It will also provide high quality computational, mathematical, big data, machine-
learning including artificial intelligence (AI), data-mining, data-harmonization, image-analysis, and statistical data
analysis expertise, services, mentorship, training, and support to researchers, Developmental and Pilot Project
applicants, REC Fellows, students and collaborators, helping them to design and inform the analysis and
statistical power of their studies and clinical trials, analyze and interpret their data and findings, and prepare
research abstracts, manuscripts, and grant applications. It will continue to develop, implement, test and support
the proper use of new computational, mathematical, statistical, big data, machine learning, AI, data mining, data
harmonization, and image analysis tools, and new approaches to the use of blood-based biomarker (BBB) data.
Our Data Management Program will ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely submission of fully compliant
data and images from the ADRC, its Affiliated Programs and pending NIA-supported APOE4/APOE2 Allelic Dose
Cohort Study; ensure user-friendly access to, and appropriate use of anonymized data and available biological
samples for researchers inside and outside of Arizona, provide relevant reports for the ADRC's Cores and REC,
help monitor and optimize their performance, and act as a catalyst for new collaborations. It will provide the
secure web tools needed to enter standardized data at each of our ADRC sites and submit queries from our
different locations. Our Statistics Program has assembled a highly coordinated, close-working expert team to
address the analytical, statistical, and career development needs of researchers, trainees, and collaborators
from a wide range of disciplines, ADRC organizations, and other programs. It will help them determine the design,
size and statistical power of their studies, analyze data, interpret findings, use publicly available data, contribute
to the preparation of grants, abstracts and manuscripts, and develop their analytical skills. It will provide
information about available ADRC and Affiliated Program data and samples and support the productive use of
data and/or samples from NACC, NCRAD, ADNI, AMP-AD, ADGC, ADSP, API, and other rese...
