## Abstract

support the biomedical research community’s transition toward use of cloud-based solutions to store, analyse, and share their data. Through the bioTeam Initiative and other implementation projects of the NIH Strategic Plan for Data Scienceⁱ, the NIH expects to learn important information regarding how to maximize the research potential of biomedical data, as well as how to make data “FAIR” (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable). Over time, the NIH expects to develop and promote a set of best practices and approaches that enable the biomedical research community to easily and economically access, create, store, share, and analyze digital research objects (including data, software, and other artifacts) in the cloud.
