Abstract

ADMINISTRATIVE CORE: PROJECT SUMMARY The Administrative Core of this P20 Cancer Disparities SPORE planning grant titled Translational Research Center in Lung Cancer Disparities (TRACER) provides an essential framework for supporting the distinct features as well as the more routine administrative tasks associated with a large, multi-institution, multi-project, and multi- core planning grant. The Administrative Core will be led by a team of Multi-Principal Investigators (MPIs), along with the guidance of an Executive Steering Committee, a Multi-Institutional Internal Advisory Board, an External Advisory Board, and a Community Advisory Board. The MPI team includes Robert A. Winn, MD (Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center; Contact MPI), Chanita A. Hughes-Halbert, PhD (Medical University of South Carolina Hollings Cancer Center), and Victoria L. Seewaldt, MD (City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center). The Administrative Core has the following specific aims: 1) Provide overall logistical support and facilitate coordination and communication for a multi-regional TRACER P20; 2) Monitor fiscal oversight for TRACER; and 3) Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic plans and progress for the submission of a full P50 SPORE in lung cancer disparities.
