Abstract

The contract provides technical and logistical support for outreach and communications. This includes strategic outreach planning and implementation, audience research, social marketing, news media outreach, social media management, and multimedia product development. It will provide the capability to carry out tasks covering a wide range of programmatic activities, including, but not limited to: planning and implementing outreach and promotion programs; providing writing, editing, graphic design, and printing services; conducting literature searches related to consumer research and other areas; supporting digital, particularly web-based communications; video planning and production; planning and executing news media outreach activities, including strategic pitching of alcohol-related stories; and coordinating distinct, but related, print and electronic outreach strategies, often with limited resources. This contract will help NIAAA provide outreach to diverse audiences of the general public, health professionals, policymakers, and researchers. The tasks involve the dissemination of unbiased science and health information (resulting from NIAAA-supported research) in an appropriate and efficient way to a range of audiences and stakeholders. The activities will position NIAAA as an authoritative source of trustworthy, science-based information about alcohol and health.
