# Adding CTSI-CN COVID Data to the N3C

> **NIH NIH UL1** · CHILDREN'S RESEARCH INSTITUTE · 2021 · $99,848

## Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY
This proposal requests a supplement to the parent NCATS award for the Clinical and Translational Science
Institute at Children’s National (CTSI-CN), a partnership with George Washington University. The supplement
is requested to aid our CTSI-CN informatics team and clinical investigators extract targeted data from the
electronic health records of patients who have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 as part of the COVID-19 pandemic
at either of our two institutional hospital systems, namely, Children’s National Hospital and George Washington
University Hospital. These data will then be deposited with the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C)
data enclave. We will then develop an approach for regular data transfers to keep the N3C data enclave up to
date with important data from Washington DC from across the health lifespan.
