## Abstract

Project Summary
This administrative supplement is requested to support the needs for the IGNITE Pragmatic Trial Network
Coordinating Center (IGNITE PTN CC, U01 HG010225) to assist the International HundredK+ Cohorts
Consortium (IHCC), administratively supported by the Global Genomic Medicine Collaborative (G2MC), to
focus on NHGRI’s interest in research on pressing public health questions that can uniquely be addressed by
collaborative efforts of large international cohort studies. The IGNITE PTN CC will enable advancement of the
IHCC through the following aims: Aim 1: To provide coordination, logistical, and process resources for the
G2MC secretariat to a) support the successful completion of cross-cohort global scientific projects initiated in
2019-2021, b) provide ongoing operational support for the IHCC leadership teams, c) prepare and support
global virtual and face to face meeting agendas and their logistics, d) continue to build a robust and interactive
cohorts’ community, and e) complete and launch its 5-year strategic plan. Aim 2: To develop and implement
information technology strategies for the IHCC to enable identification of cohorts for participation in cross-
cohort scientific projects (i.e., cohort ‘discovery’), the sharing of expertise and scientific findings, and to grow
the IHCC community. This aim will be accomplished through a) support of the IHCC Global Cohorts Data Atlas
development, b) development of IHCC workshops and regular seminars, and c) web presence and outreach to
the Duke University and broader scientific community. By accomplishing these aims, the G2MC secretariat will
increase representation of ancestrally and geographically diverse cohorts in recently awarded projects and
IHCC leadership teams by enriching involvement with cohorts in low resource settings (LRS) and low- and
middle- income countries (LMICs) and building a cohesive and interactive cohorts community. This supplement
will also identify cohorts for participation in cross-cohort projects through expansion of the IHCC Global
Cohorts Data Atlas. The Atlas utilizes a federated data discovery model and harmonizes cohort level metadata
via a portal for search and discovery of relevant human data. Cross-organizational initiatives will develop and
disseminate shared standards and best practices with our network of professional organizations with similar
missions [e.g., the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) and the International Common Disease
Alliance (ICDA)] thus optimizing our investments. Developing a planned series of educational forums for good
scientific exchange of ideas and lessons learned will strengthen knowledge dissemination beyond the IGNITE
PTN and IHCC. Dissemination of shared knowledge and communications to the broader scientific community
will be accomplished through web-based strategies and social media channels. In summary, we will facilitate
interactions between and among cohorts to create a global platform for translational...
